Hi Guys
Finally started this round of the Proxy.Had to move holidays around a bit to fit in so here is the first stage. Gazza and I will start the next stage as soon as I finish putting up this round.The track came up well as we 've had a few cold days and was surprised with the grip with some of the cars. Anthony's Stratos ,Lancia B's BMW were cars that grip level just didn't come together. Mels Alpine ran well but just wanted to create it's own track thus the amount of offs (sorry Mel) Will try and do better in the next one.
Gazza will do a video on each of the stages as well and I will post them all together at the end of the round . Unfortunatley I don't have internet in the garage so there wont be any live stream ,sorry.
Congats to the podium winners Anthony ,that Delta runs well ,Mel ,that Seat is a class car .As for mine, for a car that was set up on Gazza's track ,I was surprised . John Schoen's Ford looks good at this stage as well and I'm worried . Tore the Abarth isnt on the top half but it is a fun little car to drive (didnt finish last )

Nice to see some action again. Mel's Alpine must have had an off-day, it is very unusual to see it that far down the listing.

Thanks Craig. Good to see the CRP on again and great to see the Delta doing so well. Interestingly this car is an almost identical set up to the Peugeot I ran in last year's rally proxy here apart from the fact the Delta has SCX pro tyres and the Peugeot was a dog!. The Stratos is on very old SCX tyres, the only ones I could find that fit, obviously not the best. Looking forward to the remaining stages.

Thanks guys ,yeah Mels was a surprise to me as well as I drove it on his track and thought it ran well. Difference in tracks ,hopefully it will pick up on stage 2 which I'll run in about an hour. It was quite cool in the garage last night so thought I'd run it in the warmth. Anthony ,I found that almost any 2 cars Ive set up identical have never run the same . The Peugeot I had in one of the first rally proxys had run quite well so the the next one was the same make peugeot but different livery ,set it up the same thinking it would perform the same and surprise surprise ,same as yours ,ran like a dog. Conclusion ,set up entirely different.That Delta of yours does run well. I was a fan of all the rally Lancia's they bought out in both Scaley and SCX. Oh well out to the garage and do a clean up of braids and tyres and off we go again ,kiss the wife and kids goodbye for the weekend.

Well finally getting to put Stage 2 up .Finished yesterday (Sat/15th for O/S viewers) went to put up results and Photo bucket decided to play up. Not all pics and spead sheets were coming up ,so called it night and went slotting with the SWSRG boys .Anyway heres the results.
Firstly a pic of the second stage set-up. 1st stage was 15mtrs long , this 2nd stage section added gave a total length of 26mtrs of twists and turns .Which tested the cars once more.





Home track advantage came through for the my Porsche 959 which was first on this stage with Antony's 32 Delta 2nd and PeteN95's Renault 5 3rd overall.

Tores Abarth wasn't the quickest but also didnt mind the extra twists

Mels Alpine soon found its feet ,slowly moving up the rankings

Malatwolves GTO negotiating the tree to the extent that they would bend to get out of his way.

We certainly get a diverse crowd here out in the burbs

Man , the Escort of Hbr245b (gotta find out what thats code for ) has to be moving just look at the trees in the back ground
By the way the Escorts were also a fun little car to drive.
Ok Gazza should be here soon so I'll start the last stage ASAP and hopefully have the out come tonight or tomorrow night the latest if Photo Bucket doesn't have one of it's moments.

Finally , the last stage and what a day.Heres what the final stage looked like.



This stage was 35mtrs long and had what I think every rally track should have.
Here is the Outcome



It happened again .The 959 Porcshe of mine handled great and hung in there to take the 3rd stage with Reeks 22 Ferrari GTO 2nd and OTFS (Mels) 7 Seat 131 3rd.

Congats to all to all the podium winners . I will post the pics of the podiums tomorrow and hopefully the vids of the 3 stages.
I haven't commented on most of the cars ,but it was a pleasure to have driven them and I was quite surprised that most of them handled the one corner on my track I thought they would get hung up on which on the top pic was near the left side of that small cream coloured extension where it comes to a point . I'd like to say that lap records fell but the only one to take one was Anthony on stage 1 with a 8.581. Mel came close but the record for the hole 3 extensions still remains a 20 sec lap from the Aussie Proxy Rally which is held by Smallnails but driven by me . Anyway some more pics

I'll throw a few more pics on later. A big thanks to Gazza for coming over and helping in the marshalling and the photo shots considering he's still getting over his hospital stay. Also to the lovely wife of mine for keeping us in tea and coffee and also feeding us over the period. It makes it a hole lot easier . The Round now travels over to Gazza's place where I'll return the compliment and give him a hand with his stages and enjoy my week off.

Well done Craig (and Mrs Craig plus Gazza). Caught me out and didn't know you were running the show on the week end. Have made some comments on the SCX Forum -> Here

Was only home a few hours on the weekend and off this week up north again.

How is is this? Went to duck up town yesterday and had no power steering. Noticed a puddle of fluid on the driveway so thought I had better look under the bonnet. Had trouble finding the release handle then when I opened it up (after looking for the catch) I realised I had never ever opened the bonnet over the two years since I had purchased the new Navvy. A lot under there for a 2.5 Turbo Diesel. Only ever had to change a tyre and that was a problem until Gazza turned up

Have a good time at Gazza's this week. It will be interesting to see how the anti SCX track treats the cars.

I just wondered what feedback you could give on how my car could be improved on your track?

Hey Silver ,Reek asked the same so I'm doing a sheet as we speak. Yours was handling ok but found your motor was a bit intermittent (power on and off).Whether this was due to any crap in the can I dont know as the car was run on my test bed in both directions and it would right itself for a while then do the same again.Thus the reason Gaz ,Mel and I reckon this should be the last round as I think some of the motors may be getting rather tired by now.Anyway hopefully the comments sheet should be up for tomorrow night.

Total series standings:



Mal and Mel are comfortably ahead of the rest and Craig is closing in on the third place. Antony's Lancia Delta is very impressive, if he had not missed the first three races he would probably be in for a podium at the end of the series.
