dangermouse
Well we have seen SCX fire an early shot and I sure I am not alone in wanting to grab the #42 and #48 What other cars are coming in 2010? Scalextric makes their announcement on New Years day - any early speculating going on? Or are we thinking more of the same just in a different colour. I am thinking the new GT40 could be the Alan Mann racing or the #6 Holman Moody (blue yellow nose) Is there a Brock Torana on the books? What are we hoping to see - (a non ltd ed Gold Leaf??) I would like slot.it to do the Toyota 88C Minolta, Denso and Taka-Q liveries cheers DM Edited December 20, 2009 by dangermouse
knoath
I think you'll see a couple of variants of Brock Toranas... just not from Scalextric! Ember
Would quite happily accept this as a re-livery from SCX. To do it right they'd have to tweak their existing Aero8 a bit though. As to what they are going to release...... I guess we'll see a few more Camaros and Mustangs from Scaley. Quote Computers. They'll never catch on. first corner crash
Two cars i reeally want are the scaleauto radical sr-9. Very similar dimensionally to the GT one but had an anglewinder compatible chassis suitable for flat 6 motors. That is a must buy. Maybe even a serious mosler competitor on medium tracks. Also the NSR p68. I have seen the prototype at T birds and if you have seen it you will want it. Impossibly low and quite possibly the sexiest slot car i have ever seen. The first car I have ever wanted to get a white kit and paint in a fantasy livery. Might do a JPS. Slot it jag in the silk cut livery is appealing. The scx plymouth is very likely to end up in my slot box. Quote 4x national champion 6x national runner up. I come second most often but my girlfriends happy. P68 appeals to me as well Don't know a lot about the history of the car but they seem to be in the Alan Mann Red with Gold livery so that will look sweet. charlesx
What about a Slot-it version of the latest Le Mans winner. I am a bit tempted to buy Scaly or SCX one and add Slot-it bits although I think they may be earlier 2008 version. Mind you we would then need a class then to race them in. charlesx
That Toyota looks Ok but when I first saw it thought it was another Porsche 956. On closer examination however I see it has one of those horrible fragile wings like the Sauber, Mazda etc. Further look also showed that both SCX and Scalextric have 2010 versions of 2009 winning Peugeot 908 due out soon so perhaps there is hope yet. Toyota looks good but what about something different. Regards Chas Le Breton
dangermouse
Well the scalextric list is out bit like finding out who won survivor with all the spoilers out there, but with out pictures, one isn't sure just which models they are doing of certain cars - ie GT40, Torana, Lotus 49 (one assumes Gold Leaf), the Mustang and Camaro etc... Ember
Hmmmm... Hard to know whether to get excited or not over that Scaley list. An awful lot of Super Resistant cars in there. Are they confirming themselves as a "Toymaker" then? Kind of feels a little flat after the hype. Will have to get the DB5, and probably a Caterham (been chasing one for a year). Oh and the General... I can see a few races between the Scaley and Pioneer versions being a possibility. Quote Computers. They'll never catch on. rick1776
Gee didnt see the DoH Charger coming at all Nice spoiler Scaly. Just cause they make toys doesnt mean they have to play nice in the sand box. My money is still on the A9X (2 door) as a spoiler, yep a spolier (might be wrong on this one but ya never know....). Ember
He has been (not so) subtely suggesting someone has one in mind for quite awhile now, Manimmal. dangermouse
I tend to agree with you Ember - but nothing that really excites me, which is probably a good thing as I have bought way too many cars.... maybe this year will be about a few special cars - ie NSR 917k and maybe another MKIV or the P68 and of course if slot.it brings out the 88c and then there is the 1/24th cars and oops there goes the budget again... I recall MRE saying that there were 7 new models - trying to work out what they are I think I have 5 of them. D-Type, Caterham, the General, DB5, Chevy Impala, ?? , ?? cheers DM
rick1776
Come on guys the internet is a big place. Do some digging and then add stuff up. Do you REALLY think Scaly got took notice of 100 odd signed petitions to give us a classic Aussie touring car with interior or do you think they got wind of something? This one has nothing to do with Jules unless the Torrie raced in T/A Quote cheers rick1776
