Hpi Racing Nissan R32

Recommended Posts

Well my 'hpi racing' Nissan R32 turned up today and I have to say I'm pretty damn impressed!! ;):)

Of course I'm a Nismo fan so a little biased but regardless detail levels are excellent, seriously excellent...this does not look like a slot car rather a diecast model.

Can't wait to get it on the track, more to follow...

Received my R35 the other day. I am very impressed both with the quality, the attention to detail and the driveability. It has great potential.

Photos follow, sorry couldn't help the last one. U2 who? Queen rules. ;)

Like the Manga stylings on the driver dude.

They're definitely good looking models. But how do they drive. All the reviews I've read mention how heavy they are, but for a non-club situation, how much fun are they?

Embs

Computers. They'll never catch on.

As far as I am aware there is no class for these cars to race in, so I am just going to enjoy the quality of the build and give it the occasional fun run. Not everything has to be competitive.

Doesn't bear thinking about. They would be so quick they would be lethal.

I stand corrected. I don't like the R35 in any form.

Well I finally got to seriously run my R32 today and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how excellent it was.

It's not about to knock on the door of the likes of Slot.it RE performance but I was impressed and most importantly found the slot very enjoyable and stacks of fun to drive.

The magnet has 2 positions and is reversible so if placed in the forward position you can go drifting!

Now if we can just get HPI Racing to release some race liveries? Anyway, I'm doing a full review on the R32 which I'll post here soon for those interested.

Some pics from the upcoming review;

If it weren't for the Prince Motor Company of Japan there would never have been a Skyline in any form. Let's remember the inspired and adventurous engineers that pioneered the cars that have led to so much joy. (And very large accidents).

Yes, the winfield decals came from patto, only if I did it again, I would paint the white stripe along the sides. On the sheet of decals you get skaifes car and richards car but not their car from bathurst, it needs the aussie flag next to their names, other than that fairly easy to do.
