Unfortunately I think the price increase is due to shipping costs rather than the cost of the cars so the other brands will probably increase their prices as well, I hope not but we will have to wait and see.

Interesting to see how the little Cobras go, need something to fill the hole that the Ninco classics left.

Probably over powered and need 5 or 6 magnets to keep them on the track.

Looking forward to seeing some classic Aussie Mustangs - did someone say Norm Beechey, Pete and Leo Geoghagen, Bob Jane -

Neptune Racing would be great first up as that would make a complete set given the Mini and Cortina has been done already....might be ripe for a re-issue of those 3 as a box set....

@gazzaThe (roofless) Cobra  & the notchback Mustangs are the ones that tick the box for me. The Cobra is one that I have wanted for a while. I'm also curious to see how the Cobra will go.

Personally the J.B. A.M. V8 is on my list, hoping the "skis" are not flexible and act like an outrigger on corners, or a flipper upperer for neighbouring competing cars :D

Yes I know it was supposed to be 2021, but delayed to 2022 so hope it counts.

  • 1 month later...

Some nice ones once again. The Brock one will be popular, and we haven't had a Supercar for a while. Not so sure about the Police car.

The Moffat Falcon is nice if a little bit niche, and the Geoghegan car will be the best of this year's Mustang liveries.

I'm surprised that this will mean there are no new Jaguar XJS models for this year. The Poms will be revolting...

All the ones that have payed top dollar for the ones out of the set would be impressed  :)

I hope they do a good job on the Torana. They did a great job on the a9x so fingers crossed.

I think it will be tough it's a bit smaller than the other cars, I imagine the chassis will be like the Escort or Cortina.
It will still be nice to have one :)

A Dick Johnson Torana will be cool. Glad it isn’t the same one I did with Munter’s body. Glad to see the XU1 though I will buy all of them.

Moffat Falcon is cool but would like to see some Carter XB’s and XC’s.

Like the Mustang too that will be welcome and will grab a police car too.

I think police cars are a variant people like to collect, so perhaps that's why, maybe?

The collecting is a big part of the hobby for me as well. I guess my point is that I would have thought that commercially for Scalextric a new race livery would have been more viable.

I think the collecting part of the hobby is bigger than we know, I remember seeing that last year the Batman car out sold just about everything else available and that most of the TV/Movie cars sell more than the race cars.

I’ve ordered two each of the XU1’s, two of the Moffat XB, one XY Police car and one Geoghegan Mustang. Police car is ok by me just for something different to a race car. But yes there are so many Falcons and Torana’s that could be done, especially some obscure cars.

Next year we need a Charger to add another Aussie car to the group. Slowly getting there Scalextric. Southern Models you are doing a great job in getting the local cars produced. Thank you.

I don't know I am more likely to buy the police car than another race livery. Not a big fan of that era of racing so don't know but what other race liveries are there for them to do that people would go "yes finally the xxxxxx car!" I would have thought the main ones were done by now but could be wrong.

@VinnoA Charger would be fantastic. It would sell out fairly quick.
