Sideways Racer

Recommended Posts

Had the pleasure of driving in the DP enduro last night.

Our team consisted of Gazza, Teamredracing (Craig) and myself sharing the 4 hr drive.

(Was bad luck for me being in the team 'cause I caused them a few too many laps :()

Hadn't taken much prior notice of the host cars we were to race but peering through Jim's locked glass doors I couldn't resist the # 60.

Had to purchase it

As luck goes the host car in the same livery turned out to be my best result ;)

To the 24 or so who were there, thanks for a great night and to Jim for hosting (and Gazza & Craig for putting up with me)

This was the starting line up (off ACR's site)

They didn't look like this at the end of the night.

They might be on ebay soon with "Used only for one race or only 4 hours old"

So to those flashing cameras into Bo and Jim's eyes - where are all the pics.

Geoff 'Tooter' took it out (partnered by Michael "Slotmeister" Stahl).

John A, Nigel and John VD took second and the Auslot All Stars of Vinno, Jim (Boslot) and Jamie (ITElectrical) took 3rd.

Great night - well done Geoff - the ever consistent enduro king.

It was a great night but some of the cars are a bit sad now. Our team started to get going arounf the second and third heats but the last car we ran on red was very slow down the straight. Saying that everyone had a car which had an issue sometime, mainly twisted braids from the carnage at times.

Thanks to Jim for putting up the cars, Joseph for the artful liveries and Mike for the magnetic suspension. The Chillie Prawn Pizza was great too. Thanks Dominos. Sometime a simple layout is best when it comes to racing.

Thanks alot to Jim at Armchair Racer for putting on a great Event. I thoroughly enjoyed it and had the adrenalin pumping on all my stints. Thanks to Bo and Vinno, great racing, nice to meet all the guys there and thanks to Joseph and Mike for the work they did on prepping the cars, they all ran well and were very competitive and well matched.

A great nights racing was had by all, and I'm glad I made it out there. Also got to pick up a few additions for the collection of course, which is always good.
