Eno the Wonderdog
My wife managed to potter off with the baby seat in the back of the car on her way to the airport so dropped it with a friend to bring back. The guy came up with his 3 and a half year old son Christian. Richard soon heard a noise and came down. I had the track down to 10 volts and let the boys lose with some Supercars. What a bloomin racket!! The boys had a whale of a time for about an hour and a half.. we stood one each end of the circuit and damn it was fun to watch them. The speed of improvement was really suprising (but then young kids ARE meant to learn quickly) They were doing a run of laps at a time toward the end - and of course as the track 'rubbered up' the lap times tumbled! Happy Happy Joy Joy.. slot cars are good! Quote Captain's log: We are enroute to some planet whose name I cannot pronounce to do something really complicated that I don't understand. Stevo41
Good stuff Eno, Like the others, this post reminds me to get back down the garage and finish my track. Maybe it will help my pry the boy away from the Nintendo Wii. Steve
manic35
That's great Eno, I had a similar experience a few weeks back when my brother and his 9 year old son came for a visit. Lets just say my brother and I couldn't get clear track time his son was so impressed with slots. After a few hours we tried to porn him off with the PS3 but he wouldn't have anything to do with it. He has been annoying his Dad (my brother) ever since, enquiring when they will be going racing again.
