  1. A simple guide to converting a Tamiya 1/32 scale Mini 4WD Series "Toyota Hilux" into a off road slot car.
  2. So, I've taken the plunge on what could well turn out to be one of the silliest ideas I've had. Note, not the silliest. I'm still trying to decide if that award belongs to 'getting married' or "Honey, let's get a slot car set for X'mas." Anyway, whereever it fits in the silly idea hierarchy, my plastic track is getting painted. Work has commenced so there is no turning back. Progress photos will be posted later on the track thread. What I'm after here (yeah, I know, always after something) is source material. I'm looking for photos of road transitions. Places where the construction of the road changes. So, photos of places where gravel road changes to bitumen or a bitumen road transitions into a concrete behemoth. Maybe old highway meets new billion dollar motorway. There is one particular spot on the Targa that is begging to be concrete roadway but I have no idea of how the transition to concrete should work. I'd appreciate your help. Plus, this visual information will quite probably be helpful to others out there. Thanks guys. Embs
