  1. The Scottish preliminaries have taken place with check-in, service, performance trials and shakedown completed. The first stage will run in the next few days. First the bad news - unfortunately Dave has had to withdraw the two cars from the Isle of Man. Good news is that he is still up for hosting the event. Performance trials were done using a Tamiya Speed Checker like Gazza used. Have not had time to compare this against Gazza's results but here they are. Gazza did a Speed Check, getting the actual maximum speed achieved by each car. On my test this is the "Kmh" column. I also did a time check (elapsed time for a fixed distance (on the rollers) and I measured the current draw of the motor whilst running. Although I tried to treat each test in the same manner, please take these figures as "of interest" rather than a scientific assessment !! Perhaps next year we could do something more clinical...
