  1. Hi Guys, the 5th NSR CLassic Challenge is on for 2018 and the date has been set for the weekend of May 12th. In a nut shell - this is a race on Tony's 6 lane track in Nelson for the NSR range of classic sports cars, Porsche 917K, Ford's P68, GT40, GT Mk IV and the about to be released Porsche 908/3. The car rules are easy and on this track all you have to do to be competitive is to glue and true the tyres and add some lead. The rules are kept simple to promote the fun of close racing. That been said we all have a great time racing. Practice is on the Friday starting at mid day with qualifying that night. There will be two 12 minute races on Saturday, 2 minutes on each lane per race. The results for each driver from the first race will seed them on the grid for the second 12 minute race. The total distance covered from both races are added together to give final laps done to determine the winner. Each driver races along side 5 other guys of similar pace and will enjoy close racing within that group. For those who are interested and want to find out more about the one event that racers want to keep returning to please e-mail Tony [hotslots1@outlook.com] or ask away right here. I will post more info soon but it is all go for Nelson in May. Book flights and find somewhere to stay before its too late.
