  1. After fighting with an HRS chassis of the wrong spec I was looking for something that would work for my resin Charger body. I had a bit of dig in the parts department and tried a Slotit 956 chassis for size. The wheel base was spot on but the track? way to wide. So after some trimming and shaving and some jiggery pokery I have the chassis working well and fitting inside the body lines. Rear track is 55.5mm. I used Slotit hubless 15 x 8 rims on the rear and some narrowed Ken Wenhert front rims with an unknown tire. The main drama was putting a Champion oilite into the rear face of the pod drive side and then shave the plastic bearing fingers on the outside for more space....part of a mm here and part of a mm there, it all added up to a working result. I also had to dick around with the pinion's position on the motorshaft so it wouldn't eat into the tire edge. I used tin snips to cut the chassis plates. You have to be careful as the sides are offset differently and it is easy to trim them the same but end up with an uneven chassis. I might cut the chassis away completely in front of the front wheels as they arent needed and they can be seen under the body.
