  1. Last Wednesday night it was the turn of BVR to run our weekly race events. As the weeks pass and the track starts to mature the times are getting closer and closer with at least 4 drivers finishing on the same lap in 4 of the 5 races. Fist event was the Slotworx Aussie V8's. This was hot on the heels of the 4 hour teams enduro run just this past Sunday. This class is such an exciting class to race and the development is getting the cars very quick and great to drive. The pick of the bunch this week was Bruce, setting lap records on all lanes and finishing just .53 laps ahead of Jan with Grant a further .51 of a lap back. Fourth to seventh were all covered by just 1 lap having 7 cars finish within 3 laps. Very close!!! 1:24 Scaleauto GT was the second class run and again very close with only 4 laps covering the entire field of 9 drivers. To encourage the development of other bodies to the Viper, Audi and Porsche we going to run, between EE.au and BVR, a 3 month series (called the BEEVR series) starting Sep 2nd. Drivers who have been successful with these body styles are restricted to running other bodies. As these cars are filtering in to our weekly racing the results proving to be very close and we're starting to see fresh faces feature on the podium. It will be interesting to see where is leads. This week we saw Garry J take the top step of the podium from Grant and Gerald. A great class for the technically minded is 1:24 Modern GT. Jan was the winner this week with Bruce on the second step and myself in third. The top 3 place getters were covered by 2 laps with 4th to 7th all on the same lap just 1 lap back to 3rd.. Mini Z Group C was run as the 4th class with Bruce taking the top step of the podium, myself in second and Ashley 3rd. .92 of a lap covered the first 5 placings so one mistake proved to be very costly. Finally we ran LMP. This is the quickest of the classes we run at BVR and a pleasure to drive. Jan was the class of the field in this class with myself in second and Bruce in third. August 26 we will be racing at EE.au with BVR running next on the 2nd of September. If you wish to join in on the fun contact us through this forum. We've a great group of guys to race with and a wealth of knowledge to draw from... Stocky...
