Pedro's Track. Mac, I think we need another rule, NO changing motors between rounds, you have to make it work on speed tracks, looking at yours Chris and Mac, and technical tracks, like Pat 's and mine. I don't know where to put Dave's probably nearest to neutral. -

Yeah, I think the boat is so far out on this one Shadow Rusty could come over to the mighty Hawkes Bay in it. My main straight is about 2 metres followed by a sweeper which tightens about 2/3 of the way around. Tightest radius is 150mm (300mm diameter hairpin with a slight slip of the router, almost a kink in it). -

I'm planning to head off to the CRC Speedshow this week so I'm not around to host racing, but I'll be around next week.

I'd show you what's underneath it but I'm guessing no one's interested. Not falling for early red herring show and tell, not to mention the highly classified secret squirrel stuff going on here. -

I have now seen this beast, dismantled and weighed all components, engaged brain in modify mode. I think there are several ways this could go, it will be interesting to see what people come up with. Ps. With the need to identify which car I'm driving it will have to visit the body/paint shop. -

The Red Bull F1 cars runs nicely, no magnet, urethanes seemed to grip ok, avant guide - behind the front axle. Until it stopped on the straight, the track closed down, and the smoke got out from under the body. Got hot enough to leave electronic bits in the bottom of the chassis. A bit of work to do tomorrow!

yes please.

Oh Dear I just went out to the shed and I seem to have a collection of Carrera VW Kafers, talk about a tragic, obsessive type. The leaning towards Carrera is because that is what I had before I started this journey of discovery. It sort of gets to the point where to change systems becomes financially too big a step. I will buy a lottery ticket.

After a bit of a spell while I built an analogue track I have been back playing with this. Feeling motivated by a run on GRUNZ's track. I have been collecting some more cars, Carrera Hot rods are looking good, (I'm still watching the mail for another to arrive), i have only removed magnets and fitted urethanes - not yet glued and trued. My Carrera F1 idea is not looking so easy, same deal no magnets, urethanes. very fiddly/tight under the body and a bit of dremel needed to clear the rear tyres. Hopefully I will get the first one running this weekend. That will give me 5 sets of cars of various types, Carrera HotRods, Carrera F1, Carrera Nascars, Scalextric E30 BMWs, Slot.it 956 Porsches. That should be enough, I'll stop with the buying new cars - yeah right.

What is the deal with scaley F1 motors, original, or is replacement ok, my current car, ex-Mac via Pat has a replacement. I've probably got a suitable replacement lying around for my new build car.

I've not had enough of slot cars yet so I'll come.
