Metrorama - Polishing The Ultimate Scalextric Turd.

I understand your concerns. I was playing my old punk records in the cave this morning and nek minnit... Must be showing my age, had to look that up. Chassis now showing promise, needs higher gearing to moderate wheel spin - then it will be even faster! -

I wired the motor, wrong, and took the Mk 2 chassis for a few laps, I'm not sure, I may be forced to add more lead. For sure I need to play with the gearing too. Next up is how to mount on the body. Then maybe I can get back to my life.. -

SR for sure that is going to look a little lost on the tracks I saw over there. I think it best if you fly over and race it to it's full potential on the wonderfully varied tracks. -
Yep, everything works perfectly this morning.

Nice to have more cars than mine on track last night, thank all, I will keep practicing. My midnight thought was that my laptop has a touch screen so we didn't need to be chasing the cursor in reverse. I'm sure everything will be working perfectly when I turn it on later. Thanks to Viv for dropping by. He is quick to see I have a problem.

I think maybe we need to have a think about the 9abandoned) roster What can't I remember running recently. How about Cartrix Nascar GT3

So my chassis is up 23 grams and I'm about to start adding lead!! Mk 2 will not get a respray but is looking like a partner for Mk 1. I need to hunt out a few more stickers before hitting it with a "clear" coat. -
I do like the gulf colours. Checks shelves to see if he has any Gulf Livery cars. I've have sideways 18x10 tyres on my first Metro

If you had a spare metro windows I could use one on my new attempt at building a winner.

Anyone want to run at Bahia Vista this week, I'd need to start tidying the shed.

Thanks Mac, I had fun last night, every time I thought I was doing ok you would come past to put another lap on me, before disappearing into the distance. Big thanks to Race Catering for the SlotDogs.

The car has arrived, prompting a search through my boxes of "stuff" for wheels, tyres, gears, bushes, axles and motors. This has the potential to be a huge success OR a total failure. If it does not appear it will be because I am repeating to myself "what were you thinking?" The first slabs of lead have been glued in. -

I have some more ideas, the mailman is being a bit slow bringing me another car to re-design. I struggle with the concept of adding bulk lead, it seems like a cheap fix for shonky engineering. -
Happy to visit your cave this week Mac. I have a messy week happening at the present, but next week I could host if anyone wants tight and twisty. I see there is a new update for trackmate for me to download.

I have yet to decide if it needs weight adding, and you will noticed I haven't mastered hot melt yet, still a blob here and a squish there. -
I'll marshall.

John if you ended up with a spare set of windows - just in case mind.... Car runs nice, smooth, easy to drive, probably not fast enough but we will see. I will true the rears tomorrow, I had trouble deciding what to use so a little testing was required -

Good work John, you'll be needing another holiday. -
Off topic Hawkes Bay question. Any recommendations for a car valet firm for my 1/1 car?

It runs, better with the body on - because of the extra weight maybe. It can also have a really impressive amount of body lean. Time to start the real tuning. I will have to take the timing computer out once of get my long list of chores done. A pain how real life gets in the way of the important things.
