  7. .....Question on all the MCN 1/32 Sideways Group 5 racers : In last year's regulations about the allowed cars in this class there is specifically the Porsche 935/78 listed. Does this mean that the other 935 types like the 935/77A, 935/K2 and the expected 935/K4 are excluded ? If not, can you please let us know and we will add them to the list. Thanks. Cheers Werner
  8. ......Yes, we will only do this when the 2016 regulations have been published and changes are no longer required. We can also have a one-post-locked thread here with links to the MCN information. Many people do not refer to or use this forum. Cheers Werner

  18. .........For the 1/24 Formula 1 Class there has an optional addition been made to the two nominated body sets. The new Plafit #2817SW Nylon Wing Kit (front + rear) can now also be used : Once assembled the kit is screw fixed onto the chassis both front and rear. The body has to be trimmed accordingly. Of course this set is heavier than using the wings supplied with the body. However it is much more robust during racing. Both front end winglets as well as the rear wing sides can be trimmed and shaped according to the specific 1:1 Formula 1 model. This is just another option in how to build a Formula 1 car in this class. Once painted this wing kit can look very realistic. The regulations have been updated and there are more photos here : https://picasaweb.google.com/100400793531523576905/2015Regulations124Formula1 Cheers Werner
  19. 20. ... No, nothing has changed with this regulation. Bending the angled mounts in order to change their original design purpose is still not allowed. With the 2015 GTJ Regulations, these will be published by latest 24.July. Cheers Werner
  21. ........British Eurosport has coverage : http://www.vipleague.co/motorsports/308903/1/race-:-24-hours-of-le-mans-2015-%7C-le-mans-24-hours-live-stream-online.html
  22. .......Yes, the #1900S has axle ball bearings. RRP's are $ 95.00 for the #1900 and $ 120.00 for the #1900S assembled chassis. Still waiting on sufficiant stock at present..... .......Only the #1900S chassis will be included within the 1/24 Japanese GT class for the 2015 season. All other classes will stay with the current regulations. During the year we will do a lot of testing with the new chassis system to see how they perform compared to the #1700 chassis. Cheers Werner
  23. The new Plafit 4 #1900 Chassis Generation Two new designed Plafit 4 chassis have now been released, the #1900 standard….. ……And the #1900 S pro version. Both chassis differ from the current #1700 chassis system mainly in the two-piece main chassis plates, the independent axle bearing and ground clearance adjustability with screws rather then spacers as well as different suspension controlled body mounting. The standard #1900 chassis is for smaller 1/24 cars with wheel bases between 92 - 106mm. However an optional 10mm longer front chassis plate will bring the maximum to 116mm. Minimum required body width is 46mm. Both main chassis plate segments are connected with a flexible Nylon stabilizer plate in the centre as well as two small torque plates which use 2mm spacers. Movement control is possible with the Aluminum CNC made Strain Control Unit (SCU) in front of the motor. Four set screws in combination with different strength gel caps inside the SCU allow an exact fine adjustment. The body mount system works with two independent blue Aluminum plates featuring adjustable spring suspension and a flexible Nylon cross bar. At this stage it is only designed for Aluminum angle body mounting. The ground clearance setting on these new chassis is very easy by adjusting the horizontal and vertical screws on each bearing holder. A 1mm shim set is included which allows the use of a large variation of wheel and tire diameters. The chassis weight including all running gear and 13D Motor is 107 grams. This chassis and parts drawing shows the components of the # 1900 Chassis : The #1900S version is for larger 1/24 cars with a wheel base range of 99 - 119mm and a minimum body width of 64mm. The design is very similar to the standard chassis however the body mount system is more comprehensive and uses flat body mount plates. Very similar to the #2800 Formula Chassis, the independent blue subframes are hinged on steel rods and Aluminum blocks. There is an optional front chassis section with suspension available. The rear chassis plate features an opening for a lower motor position. The chassis weight including all running gear and 13D Motor is 121 grams. This chassis and parts drawing shows the components of the # 1900S Chassis :
