  3. Hi Rob The distance from the edge of the track to the nearest lane slot is 115mm at the minimum,and the smallest distance from thick white line to slot is 55 mm on red lane on the over pass
  4. G'day Slider ,thanks the dimensions are 4.7 mtrs x 2.4 mtrs lanes are 85mm apart and lane lenght is arond 20.1 mtrs. cheers David
  5. Update typed with fingers wrapped in bandaids , all the lanes are taped and ready for wiring which will be monday so hopefully i will be doing laps tuesday . cheers David
  6. Here is my idea for the overpass, these sheets stuck to 3mm MDF to run 15mm above the overpass surface so what you see here will be higher on the left side and lower on the right side with a hole cut for the tunnel on the left.
  7. Decided not to use the perspex cost to much for the small amount i need, i am sticking rock wall prints onto solid fibre board to run the lenght of the bridge and will leave 15 mm above track height, just enough to stop a car from going over the edge.
  8. I use SLICK 7, i think thats what its called from Pete at dandenong or sometimes parma grease on the gears in the syringe type applicator.

  11. Gday Dick, Have not done much , been a bit unwell probally run myself into the ground working on my addiction so had to give it break for a few days :( , i should have an update tonight ie barriers,signage etc.currently printing out rockwalls for the over pass. cheers David
  12. Here's a pic of a lowered v8 , changes centre of gravity dramatically.
  13. Try lowering one by triming body posts with a dremel 1mm at a time, if you go to low you may need to sand the wheel arches slightly. (will post pic later)

  15. I purchased a GMC router for $98.00 with a vacuum attachment, and it takes 1/4 - 1/2 inch bits.also easy to make a radius arm to fit (as pic)

  17. Go for the roof capping ......... it comes in clear as well as tinted and is 3mm thick Thanks heaps guys , im on my way to bunnings now.
  18. If i start changing it now the track will be my bed ,it runs towards the camera from the pit area in the 2nd pic and away from camera in the 3rd. standing near the pits you can see white lane ok.. Thanks Rob i will check them out tommorow

  21. Hello all a few pics of the finished surface, and the green base coat for the scenery. Next job is to lay the tape, insert barriers on the corners and re paint the ones i stuck down before i painted the surface OOPS, then trim the edges of the frame,(round the corners).
  22. Thanks Dick that first coat of ferrodore did go on lighter than expected the mdf does absorb paint but i think it was the foam roller i was using. another 2 coats today and should be right. cheers David

  24. I have raced the A1 ,F1 and INDY cars on my old track all with mjk tyres and the F1 is by far the quickest (late model)
  25. :nice: Yeah thats the goal, im on a promise to have it completed before i go on holidays 24th for 2 weeks (home maintenance) and a week away :( .
