Hi Guy's, @Mo, Only V32 Members are allowed to race at V32 Championship rounds. Non-members can come along and mingle, talk Slot cars and spectate, that's it. The prerequisits for becoming a V32 Member (2008 Season only) have been posted. To Ian, Thank you for expressing your interest, We the V32 Club invite you to join us for the remainder of this years Championship. Look forward to seeing all the new members, Shane, Dave and Ian at MR this week end. Regards NimROD

Hi Guy's, Please note that the following only apply for the remainder of the 2008 Championship. 1.) All existing V32 Members to need to re-afirm their commitment so true participant numbers can be established. 2.) A max. of 16 Members for the V32 2008 Championship. 3.) New comers to be nominated/sponsored by an existing member with 3 other members supporting the nomination. 4.) New members must abide by the current guidelines and regulations of the V32 Club. 5.) Championship rounds are only for V32 members. Newbies, Interstate and International friends will be catered for with a Social Race organized by V32 members but not exclusive to V32 member. At this point in time we can offer an invitation to Dave Scrivins (Sorry if I got your surname wrong ) and Shane Lott if they would like to join the V32 Club. We have another nomination, Ian Barrett but will need to confirm the number of existing Members first. Thank you to the members that helped with advice and counseling. :nice: Regards NimROD

Hi Guy's, Moe, Sorry Mate I believed most of V32 were either PM'd or Emailed, no one was intentially missed, mistakes can happen. Dave, Thanks for the reply very much appreciated. Could I ask then how you make the cut off for each round as you must get more than 12 racers wanting to come along? Also how do you handle new potential members and one off's? I don't think we advertise as such, we simply put info in the CLUB area and discuss the V32 Championship. I believe V32 members are a lot more open in discussing the Club and the events though. A preview of next year - 2009 V32 Championship Racing and/or 2009 V32 Social Racing. Now that will be a question for next years Committee Regards NimROD

Hi Guy's, The Committee will formulate a response by tomorrow night. With regard to Shane L joining, I recall most if not all members were asked their opinion and there was a unanimous decision to allow his joining. Shane L's appointment was considered and agreed to way before the round at Gref's track. If I recall correctly, he would have missed only the first round as it took us till just after the second round to agree his joining the club (please correct me if I'm wrong here) Personally, I didn't expect V32 to so popular. Is it difficult to get into other Victiorian Slot Car Clubs? How do these other Club's handle this sort of thing, I'd be very interested to hear your views please. Dave, What are The Phoenix Clubs views on this? Do other Clubs run a Championship or just race Socially, this would make a difference too. We need to remember we have restrictions at Ged's and Home Tracks on the amount of people racing, not everyone can appreciate having 10 or more blokes around twice a month to be catered for. Regards NimROD
  9. Sounds good Chris, the sooner we race the better. Regards NimROD
  10. Hi Guy's, I'm with Moe, If V32 organize a race at a Pete's, Ged's or any other commercial track, then V32 should have sole use of the track for the allocated time. I believed this to be the case but if it's not then this should be made clear to Pete, Ged and others. When pete holds party events the track is not available to other people except the party members, is this right? Regards NimROD

Hi Guy's, I stand by what I've posted earlier; IMO, this is where I'd prefer it to be for the remainder of the year. Next year we could run two groups A & B, both running the same classes every month. This would help as some members may not be able to make a Group A race but can on for the Group B race A roster would be required, if you race a Group A race you can't race the Group B race in the same month. I suppose if numbers were low for any given Group race then members who have already raced can help marshal and maybe also race but that could cause more probs, just thinking out loud. Group A is no different to Group B, they are not distinguished by experience or anything else. A decision for the new 2009 regime. So far this year there have have been quite a few Social invitations. For International/Interstate & Nubies we can organize a Social Race if at anytime if we wanted to. Regards NimROD
  12. Hi Guy's, I'm in too!! :nice: Regards NimROD
  13. Me Too!! :nice:  Regards NimROD
  14. Hi Guy's, Sorry but I won't be able to make it, work has gotten very busy lately and I've gotta pull some overtime. I know you'll all have a ball so please take lots of pics Regards NimROD
  15. I'll be a scrutineer if you like, should help me get my moded SCX 935 passed :angry2: :angry2: Regards NimROD
  16. Hi Guy's, Sorry Boy's but I can't make it, too much work and home duties...............OK OK the Missus ain't letting me go, there I said it Dick has already been in contact with me and it's sorted out. I know you guy's will have a ball cos it's at Pete's, he always looks after us, take heaps of pics for the missing racers. Regards NimROD
  17. Hey Bry if you need a pickup PM me. Regards NimROD
  18. Hi Guy's, BeastM, I thought it was worth a go as the rules allow the following: The body, interior, chassis, wheels and gears are all original, only the motor, it's cradle/brackets and the guide were missing. I'll look for more info on the original SCX car and see If I can find the original motor and brackets in my parts box. If not then there are 4 more to choose from Regards NimROD
  19. I'm sure he would have by now and PM'd you aswell Regards NimROD
  20. Hi Guy's, It is late, but I've arranged for the whole day to be free, so it's ok with me, I'm easy...........You all know that This will give me some time to actually tune my cars for the first time Hey Matt, I've got a pair of Vanquich tyres for you Mate. BTW just thought I'd ask the question. I have an SCX Porsche 935 K3 missing it's motor, motor cradle/bracket and guide. I'm considering gluing an SCX Pro-Turbo or RX-42B motor in but I think it's above 18K or I'll look for a standard Scaley/Fly 18K motor. Some advice please Fellas. Other than the motor, only thing left is to find some MJK's to fit the rear wheels. Got 5 cars to pick from for the Group 5 race, damn they all look so goooooooooood!!! Regards NimROD
  21. Hi Guy's Totally agree Gref and would add that when racing at Home Track's the owner should be the Race Director and make sure Marshals are appointed, etc. A little speech by the race director before racing could make everyone aware of what to expect in the race. We're still learning as a club, this is one more thing that we now have covered. Regards NimROD
  22. Hi Guy's, The prob regarding the track call was more to do with the inconsistent manner of it's use. In the early races there was none or barely any track calls, I personally forgot it was available. By the second race (Ninco Gt's) it was used but differently by each race starter and by the time we ran the F1's it was becoming a joke. I agree people that were not happy should have brought it up at the time, I found it funny at times, maybe cos' I wasn't in those particular races. We can all say, drive better and you won't come out of the slot but quite a few people were taken out, unintended of course. Track calls, did give some drivers a bit of an advantage even though it wasn't intended, just worked out that way. Now please I'm not starting anything, It's only my opinion after having longer to reflect on the races. Other than the above I second Chris' and others comments for the future races. Regards NimROD
  23. Hey!!!!! Where are the results????   Regards NimROD
  24. Hi Guy's, I'll be there, can't miss a race on Shane's track My Vote's for No Mags. I know It wasn't specified in the rules as we forgot that some tracks have magnabraid, but keeping in the spirit of the V8's we always said it was non mag. If anyone needs a lift PM me we can arrange a pickup or meet half way. Best Regards NimROD
  25. That looks AWESOME Alan. Back in my early years Dad had a dark green 4 door XB, bought it brand new, learned to drive on it when I was 11, that thing was a tank. Three on the tree........oh yeah!!! A good friend of my Bro's, Zuksy had a Cobra XC coupe, painted up as one anyway never was sure if it was an original. Regards NimROD
