  1. Sadly an update with this controller issue, it is still occurring on multiple tracks, random cars and random lanes , I've taken on board about checking braids which are fine and I have been watching hmmm What I've been witnessing it appears to occur with one particular controller more often than others, yep this is totally weird.

Just browsing back through some forums and popped in here how's that move coming along?
  3. So Chris, did this solution work for you four years ago?
  4. Plug? As in the standard three prong 240v female as below image? They are all the same and can handle up-to 240v as the tracks run at 12v these standard 240v plugs are more than sufficient.

Morning, I am in Taree with my 4 lane MrTrax track, I have posted in the Community group on Facebook a few times now. If you are keen, here is my info. might interest you. 7. Have to keep an eye out on the braids in case, as mentioned, it could be a braid wire shorting. I very rarely see a flash from the braids on random cars, this as I said is very rare, maybe something close to 1 in 30 (or more) odd races... hmm more ongoing investigation and closer watching of the car, the track and the controller is needed, which is hard when concentrating on racing as we all know.
  8. Don't know how these are being snapped up, again with today's racing one Slot.it controller caused issues requiring us to unplug the Slot.it controller, plug a resistor controller in, pull trigger, unplug the resistor controller and plug the Slot.it controller back in to get the Slot.it controller to work.. This had to be done 4 times, this situation has occurred on 4 different tracks and 4 different controllers, there is obviously something amiss with the Slot.it controllers, where? Who knows, but for the money they are not to be trusted nor relied upon, sad as I thought they would be a decent controller and was going to buy 4 of them for my track but after witnessing this bad behaviour on 4 different tracks and 4 different Slot.it controllers, nop not spending money on them. edit: to fix the ongoing issue with all Slot.it controllers, what we now do is unplug the Slot.it controller, plug in a Resistor controller, pull trigger, unplug resistor controller, plug Slot.it controller back in and away it goes until it decides to play up once again, guaranteed
  9. Here is Australia Post tracking info. for some items from South Australia to NSW... disgusting updates and times
  10. Slotworx links for you Slotworx Chassis Build Slotworx Cup Car Build and Slotworx V8 Body Build
  11. Welcome to the hobby, hope you have deep pockets and understanding partner A few links that might help you along the way: Track Library and The ARC Pro Guide both of which will be invaluable to you. The best and cheapest way is to buy a Set which contains track, special track pieces such as XLC's and pitlane entry and exit and four to six cars digitally chipped ready to race, from there you just buy extra track packs to extend your track and extra cars. Keep in mind sometimes it can be cheaper to buy another complete set with track and cars
  12. And to make things worse, Australia Post have just announced a 2.5% increase to their charges, excerpt below from the email I just got: Domestic and International standard retail rate changes^Over the last year we've worked hard to support customers with the pressures of their sometimes rapidly changing businesses. Rising costs over the period however mean that, effective 1 March 2021, we'll be raising our standard retail rates for domestic parcels and changing our standard retail rates for international parcels. We'll be introducing a 2.5% price increase across our retail domestic parcel products; which includes Parcel Post, Express Post and Return Paid items.International outbound parcel and letter prices will also change, which will mean a price reduction in some instances and an increase in others.
  13. Fastway is owned by Australia Post now, just another million dollar decision and purchase that the Australian government pen pushers made without consulting with the people of Australia. The irony behind all this expenditure is that Australia Post have turned around and whinged about suffering massive losses, so in turn they have increase the prices of postage for letter stamps, which has continuously increased since and implemented quadruple dipping with other bulky and large parcel charges, they (Oz Post) now charge four items on one parcel, this being: Postcode of Origin, Postcode of Destination, Weight, and cubic cm measurements
  14. Yes have had zero issues, time is anywhere between two whole weeks and three whole weeks. But the items do arrive
  15. Ordered some pitch measurement tools from Vanguard which were posted on 28th December 2020 and arrived this morning 15 January 2021 so not too bad coming from the USA. Vanguard Speed Lab Vanguard Speed Lab Gear Gauge website

  18. Electric Dreams have been fantastic, expediated supply and shipping (to get it to collected at least) then times are dependant on the USPS, airlines and other third party shippers. Yes the package was packed superbly and extremely secure with plenty of packaging and as mentioned by someone who actually cares about successful undamaged arrival. Highly recommend Electric Dreams in EL Segundo, California The shipping price just makes me spend that much more to make it worth the USP price gouged shipping charges so in turn the store wins with a little more income and the USPS looses a little with a bulk delivery. Regarding shipping price, sadly this is out of everyone's hands as the USPS have hiked pricing by 100% to every country the price gouging bastards, all they are doing is making up for their lost COVID income :( :( :(
  19. Well having owned a 4-Lane MrTrax track I am absolutely sold on this track system.

Having spinal fusion and more to come, setting up and dismantling this track system is an absolute breeze and pain free... woohoo.

The track is designed around the 100mm centre so it allows you to race 1/24 and 1/32 cars. As the track rubbers in times and grip do improve.

The sales, service and support from both Mr & Mrs Slotcar (Peter and Debbie) has been an absolute astonishingly easy and enjoyable process, no question can go unasked, both will tell you the simple facts. There is zero pressure sale tactics at all, both are more than happy to go above and beyond for their clients, to which I will be a long term client and supporter of MrTrax and MrSlotCar.

For those people thinking about a slot car track and would like to have a look and race first hand and are in the Taree, NSW, 2430 area please reach out via PM to arrange a visit and race, I am more than happy to open my house and track, you will be amazed with the entire system.

  20. Well a bit late for posting Racing Results for 9th September 2020, better late than never I guess. Well what an afternoon of racing we had at Paul's Undara Circuit. Sadly Geoff couldn't make the race meet so we persevered on with five of us for the afternoon. Day progressed well with several guides being snapped once again by Paul. Johnno managed to write off a chassis with the guide mount completely breaking on his Slot.it Lola LMP, after checking online new chassis is $11 + postage, so I decided to part the car out for spares and complete the setup of another car. 21. September 2, 2020 Well the afternoon didn't start at all well, had some issues with track call not cutting power to track when used, worked out that the power was not actually connected for some reason duh and doh!!, we could hear the solinoid working, that sorted then the cars were stuttering and carrying on, like what the hell now... worked out that when four cars and four Slot.it controllers active and four cars, there was not enough Amps, turning up the Amps fixed this and finally away racing we went. Practice entailed allowing racers to sort out what cars they wanted to run in the five classes. With racing eventually kicking off a little behind schedule starting with: Ninco 1's, As usual with a long straight most of the Ninco's were at maximum power straight out of the corner so the racing was going to be won on the cornering and chicane. Ninco 1 Leaderboard Ninco 1 Podium 1st: Paul 2nd: Charlie 3rd: Lindsay LMP's, Photo's weren't taken for this due to being in too much of a rush to start next race. Oh well. GT3 International's These beauties presented and raced well. Deslotting happening fairly constant. GT International Leaderboard GT International Podium 1st: Paul 2nd: Charlie 3rd: Lindsay Slot.it's, Photo's weren't taken for this due to being in too much of a rush to start next race. Oh well. Revo stock standard, Being the first time for racing on Johnno's track they traded well and were very well suited to the entire track from the long straight to the hard corners and overpass they ran great. Paul for some reason was some what out if sorts having more deslots than I've ever seen him have, he said he was trying too hard... yeah ok, try hard Johnno (me) saw a remarkable improvement in car control and fewer than normal deslots, racing my own race (as Paul keeps telling me to do) taking out several podium positions, third place, but still I got to see the podium. Charlie started great but had some grip issues early on with one car. Which was sorted. Jeff and Joe drove great throughout all the classes with both having that "laid back, hands crossed, one handed controller pose" I think Joe had his maiden race with his Revo (nice Malboro livery) and really hadn't done much tuning, I suggested he install his wood guide and true both front and rear tyres Car damage was none, though there were two guides broken during the day, the first door Johnno's track. It is great having a variety of experienced racers in the group with Charlie and Paul the most competitive between themselves Revo Leaderboard Revo International Podium 1st: Paul 2nd: Charlie 3rd: Johnno Trans-Am Trans-Am Leaderboard Trans-Am International Podium 1st: Charlie 2nd: Paul 3rd: Johnno

  23. PM'd you mate and also edited the original post. Well with three hours of using the controller omg.... what a huge difference, such a pleasure to use and race with, don't even know I am holding the unit besides being connected to one spot... if only they were wireless... food for thought perhaps Steve? regardless once I started playing around with the brake setting and removing magnets from cars that I thought were already magnet free they track was a pleasure to run. Thanks to Paul who turned up and got things moving along and suggestions, appreciate them all and your time and experience.
