Sorry Dave but can you not change the background colours of some columns. Even blown up to twice the size still almost impossible to read.

Thanks to all involved in running this round. Not finishing last was a relief, congratulations to Dave and Drew
& now you too will be going through the gut wrenching's of waiting for the "Tyre failure" every round.... you'll enjoy it... I'm gaining a six pack

same as said above...... cheers to the drivers.. sure you all having a blast... & to the competitors....still hard not to get nervous about my babies & their results
-
Good to see my cars still hangin in there......... interestingly I watch the results waiting for my McLaren to shine over my Porsche..... it goes to show how a car that is more reliable in handling will give the driver more confidence to push constantly & consistently .......
When the cars were home they both had a shake down of 100 laps .......
The Porsche ..
I can easily remember how The Porsche was solid as a rock through all the track ..... I could drive it on its limit lap after lap & couldn't better its lap time after its first 20 laps..... This car was a nice drive... very predictable
As for McLaren ..
It was a blast to drive... seemed to have a slightly livelier motor... but a lot of body language through the corners.... this car was easy to see (or deceivingly telling me) that it was close to its limit..... (funnily enough and consistent to the past results) the McLaren sat nicely at 0.1sec slower than the Porsche.... "but", was able to accomplish a "one & only, gut twisting, arse tightening lap that was easily 0.15 sec. quicker than the Porche.. though I couldn't achieve it regularly with out de-slotting consistently... a very random car when driven hard.
Enjoying sitting back waiting on the news... would love to see more pic.s (with some New Zealand scenery)...... thumbs up to all running the events.......& to the competitors... my brains lathering for next year.

Shouldn't be too worried of cars going missing........ all cars have owner's names on them.

Qualifying .... I guess if there was a time to choke .. that's the time. ......... But if your going to run Qual. sessions you should alocate points towards the Main championship points & to the best Overall Qualifier.......... After all.. It's a race unlike a race.

Always had the Pro Parma's ..... got a S'it .... & in the mean time modified the Parma with adjustable restriction to the 25ohm resistor & separate adjustment to the non resited/full speed...... now only use the Modified Parma(no need for adj. brakes)nice feel of strong spring & adj. power for each diferent car.

so this was the track used for Round 2 ? nice looking track... have to keep in mind the types of tracks these cars run on for next years build....... as if it's going to help.

Band is ... Sideways (soft ) I'm sure..... was almost going to send the Ultrasoft.......... Have never used them previously either.... apart from here testing/building on ferodore......... gotta say ...price was good....

thanks Chas...I wont object.... whislt @ home building I really didn't think the cars were powerful enough to cause such a prob. I thought the Mclarren wasjust too loose in the chassis,, but seeing my home track is all curves, I never get the chance to open them up to speed....... thanks again.

on an older track & my daughters school project I used these products from Bunnings... brand was.. Parfix,,,, No gaps.. & Luiquid nails. both were water based... I spayed water first then sqeezed the stuff all over.... (and with a damp cloth & a bucket of water handy)..... massaged it in with my hands

just squeeze the trigger smmoootthhh & slowllllyyyy ....... & bring my baby home with mirrors intactHi all.
Qualifying completed tonight for Round 2. DRW21 I think was the fastest qualifier but top half of field at least were very close.
Fastest time from memory was 5.089secs but only one car did not break 6secs. 80% cars ran well although braking varied. Several cars hopped a bit under acceleration, a couple including my McLaren M6a liked to pop out at front and one car suffered badly as tyres had never been glued.
Full results will be sent to organisers tomorrow. Looking forward to racing on Sunday morning.

the problem I'm facing is how these RTR cars are so nice in the paint standards,, that I'm hesitant to re take up the hobby of build & painting ....... back in my young days I'd probably buy 2 1/24th models a week....used have the build & paint process down pat... rarely pulled the same colour out twice, unless the trimming of the plastic was showing.. even the use of the water decals was a breeze..... & was reading in another thread of someone that paints the bodies by brush,, I recon I did a few brilliant brush finishes myself back then,, but along came the ease of a can.
At the moment I've got 2 resins siting here.. need to build chassis.. paint & stick on decals ..... Funny enough... I don't know where to start... or how to start......
yep these RTR cars are spoiling/ruining me.

the only F1 sound I've ever heard live was @ the Tasman revival E/C...... A skinny Ferrari (not 5000) had the ear piercing scream,,, was sitting at top of G/Stand...couldn't wait for the race to finnish.. swear my ears were bleeding

I'm confused.................... I thought the Dodge Daytona was the "Superbird" also known as the "Road runner" .. ???

Thanks .... my slacking has caught up with meHi Neil, I e-mailed you a few days ago but just got notice that the message didn't get there, this is what I said.
Hi Neil, I had a look at the M20 and tried different screw settings but didn't really make much difference.
I think having the tires not glued to the rims causes most of the probs the M20 has coming out of corners under power.

any pics & a talk through of a lap of the next meet...

Ricardo still drove to an amazing 2nd spot ........ Redbull are the ones that've failed
