  1. problem with Nitrile though is it is not as resistant to heat as the Viton. heat is the main issue with our truers belts and what causes them to break. in general the only time Nitrile is better than Viton is in extreme cold conditions.
  2. whats standard? the area 3 are different size to scaleauto, both the old and newer scaleauto are different sizes also. Hudy are different. if you get the viton rings go for the 2.4mm thickness and it will last longer again.allow for that thickness though to change ID from stock size.
  3. if you go to a bearing place try to get the Viton ones.they last a lot longer usually, heat resistant.
  4. are these the same size as the Hudy belts? i have spares of these if they are. cheers

    Lexan Truck

just finished this for our christmas bash day.we will be running 4 of these with varying loads on the trailers.some will have faux logs others will have car bodies.we did volvo wagons with caravans last year and it was a blast.looking forward to this one! cheers warrick
  19. just my thoughts and this is club level. i think the way we have run it at Andrews is good. have 3 classes.the good, the bad,the ugly for want of better names.have a lap time or number as the limiting factor,as these improve you progress to the next level.if you win the lower class for a season you then automatically go up to the next class for the next season.one thing that needs to be observed with this system is that guest drivers dont count in the results and drivers using other peoples cars dont count either.by all means they can race but they cant count in the results or it defeats the ranking purpose.i think this system works well as long as rules are adhered to. my 2c cheers warrick note: good = beginners bad = intermediates ugly= pros ps:thanks for the mention Gary, your too generous.
  20. Jason there in lies the problem, unfortunately you believe that. i could not be so hypocritical as to knowingly go to one of your get togethers. you cause nothing but depression everywhere you go and this is a happy time.enjoy your drinks, give the rest of the guys my best wishes and please grant the rest of us my previous wish. merry christmas..........please?
  21. well i'm sure Cam appreciates all your tuition. for the record you dont become good with just time.i am the perfect example of this not happening.you seem to have a passion for rubbing people the wrong way and tossing it back up in their faces.Jason you may be a good slotcar driver/builder but you cant seem to grasp the point that not everyone cares.some of us are there for the fun and mateship.we would all like to win occasionally but if we dont, thats alright too. i would have thought you would have realised by now that a lot of people dont like or want your attitude, but still you continue to put yourself out in front . please make this a merry christmas and go away. ps.my opinions only.
  22. all well and good Jason but you havent factored in the skill level of all team drivers.some teams had 3 members and some, although doing their best, were not as competitive as others.all that can be learnt from these results is that it was a lot of fun for most of us and motor choice did not influence the results. cheers warrick
  23. yeah you were keeping me on my toes Jan. got to get a win here as you're too damn fast at home. cheers
