Just echoing the comments of the other guys. To everyone who is doing it tough due to the fires in Victoria and the floods up North, be safe and I hope things improve. Certainly life is the most important thing, material things are always replaceable, but fire and flood can't take your soul.

5 years down the track almost and still about the same, once or twice a day.

I agree with chilla, if at all possible it is best not to secure the track down. It needs a bit of freedom to move around (expand and contract or whatever). I learnt that the hard way on my first big track.

Ive got that particular FLY car and it is awesome straight out of the box on a Scalextric sport track. Also raced it on scx track and Ninco track and it runs awesome. I love the FLY Lola's for magnet racing. Heres a pic of some FLY Lola's getting off the start line, I think the 3rd from the right may be the car you are talking about.

The swap meet every month at Granville is run by the Sydney Model Car club. It has a lot more diecast stuff and only the rare bit of slotcar stuff. Only $2 to get in last time I went and about $20 to have a table and sell stuff.

Just heard today that Kawasaki are pulling out of the MOTOGP.

Maybe it's just because I'm not selling any more?? I like to think I'm the one who singlehandedly brought down the prices of Scalex, FLY, Slotit and Ninco cars a few years back for all you addicts. HAT, COAT, I'M OUTTA HERE.

Just listed a bunch of my kart stuff on Ebay. If anyone is after a Clubman and a two kart trailer let me know. My Stuff for Sale

Ive had a few different clubman's (100cc yamaha s engine) for about the last 10 years but never raced with the competitive weekend racers. I generally race once a month in a midweek comp. but unfortunately they are getting pretty scarce nowadays. Phil Ward used to run one at Oran Park and the guys at Eastern Creek don't do it any more either, so now it's just every second month at Picton. If you get your kids into it, I'd just say be prepared to spend a bit of money (ongoing fees, repairs, maintenance etc.) and give up a fair few of your weekends. Unfortunately I can't help much more than that, as I say, I havent been involved in the junior karting scene at all, but as the other guys say speak to some of the clubs, they are generally very informative and definitely get along to a race day and see what is being raced and what is really going on and what you are in for before you jump in and buy anything. I am going to be selling up my lot in the next month or so, just not getting the thrills out of it that I used to and need the space in my garage. Will be selling my two kart trailer, Arrows AX8 clubman, wets, tyre tools and plenty of spare bits and pieces.

Sorry Tooter - only one of each and Cleveland got in extra quick. Half of them are gone now but still a few left, just listed the Rothmans 3 Car set and a few others.
