  1. Thank you. Where might I pick up some Champion bearings, I'm not familiar with them?
  2. I got one of these bare chassis delivered the other day. I'm stumped already as to how to fit the front and rear bearings. Any clues would be helpful. Did you file the front of the chassis to get the guide to fit? Regards, James
  3. Are the final results going to be posted? JT

I thought I was reading about a routed track then saw the pictures of the finished track and thought I was looking at a plastic track until I looked closer. What an amazing piece of work you're done. Congratulations. JT
  5. The first, well 3rd, of many wins to come this season I hope.
  6. Don't give Tony Cochrane any idea's!

  8. Thanks for you help. I'll do some searching.
  9. The body was sprayed with Mr Color brand spray can paint.
  10. Long Life Floor Polish and Tamiya Clear Coat.
  11. Just after a bit of advice. I've painted a car and applied the (Patto's) decals. One of the decals partially came off so I put some floor polish on it to stick it back down which has worked fine. I originally intended to use floor polish to seal the decals on the car then I thought why not spray a clear coat on the car. Will the clear coat react with the floor polish? Instead of using clear coat should I just continue with the floor polish? JT
  12. Hoffy, are you saying that these first two rounds have cost the teams nothing because it has all been paid for by the track owners? Someone mentioned we need another decent track, last time I looked Eastern Creek was looking pretty good.
  13. I see Abu Dhabi was a raging success on the weekend, it attracted 12,340 fans! Here's part of an article from the V8 website about the weekend: Yas Marina Circuit Chief Executive Officer, Richard Cregan, said it was vital the Abu Dhabi circuit secured the V8 Supercars because it ranks behind only the Formula One series on a global motorsport level. V8 Supercars held its inaugural Yas V8 400 at the world-class Yas Marina Circuit last weekend with 12,340 people turning out for the event. While the crowd was above the expectations of event organisers, Cregan said the exercise of bringing the V8s to Abu Dhabi was not about bums on seats for the first event but rather marketing Abu Dhabi as a travel destination to the Australasian region. Cregan said circuit management embarked upon a strategy to attract motorsport events that have a global reach. “Obviously the F1 is the flagship of the events we have; that has the biggest global reach than any other motorsport,†he said. “We looked at Australia with the Aussie V8s… the most important thing for us was it was the major motorsport series in that particular region and that’s the reason we went for it. “We’ve looked at a lot of series but it (V8s) came out always number two to Formula One even on a global scale.†Cregan said the Yas V8 400 had already begun to serve its purpose because it brought the attention of Abu Dhabi to Australian and New Zealand V8 Supercar fans. “You may have a large number of people asking where’s Abu Dhabi, but at least it’s creating that awareness,†he explained. “One of the most significant tools we have is the major exposure we are getting in terms of press and media in that particular region (Australasia) and so far we’ve got huge coverage, even before the race.†Cregan said the event also received a huge amount of support from the local Abu Dhabi media, which is important for the second reason of holding a V8 event in Abu Dhabi. “(It) is to help create a motorsport culture (in the Middle East) which we know is going to take time, but you have to use those major events to try to achieve that,†he said. “And we believe that Aussie V8s is one of them because it just has such a global reach in terms of a credible series.†“We looked at Australia with the Aussie V8s… the most important thing for us was it was the major motorsport series in that particular region and that’s the reason we went for it. You've got ask the question, number two to Formula One in what? Could NASCAR, BTCC, DTM, IndyCar, Le Mans, WTCC, GT's be more popular than V8's, well apparently not according to CREGAN. This bloke must have fallen hook, line and sinker for whatever rubbish Cochrane told him. With a population of 20 odd million people how many are Aussie's does his bloke reckon are going to visit this place. Yes it looks lovely but it hardly ranks as a place I would want to take the family for a holiday. Didn't Eastern Creek pull a similar number and get turfed. I had free tickets to Homebush and it was rubbish. Why is Cochrane so obsessed with having race cars race on streets and not race tracks. I don't know what improvements he wanted done to Eastern Creek but the NSW Government couldn't possibly have spent $40 million to get it up to scratch. I guess at least it's not a street circuit. Sorry for the length of this but that's what happens when someone mentions the C word, cochrane that is.
